This is the sixth year that Paimpont has presented a laser spectacular projected on to the ancient walls of the Abbey. The theme is always a 'Meeting with the Moon' but the story and the graphics are different each year. In previous years, the story has been more of a fairy tale or legend; this year we had a totally whimsical story about a local man who decided to visit the moon and found on the far side, all manner of creatures having fun. He immediately decided to send for his wife and live out the rest of his days on the moon - here he is explaining to her, back on earth, what she is going to see.
This is not the image I wanted to start with but - unhappily - the inauguration was 'blessed' with torrential rain. I was stuffing my camera in and out of my jacket and realised straight away that I had accidentally moved many of the settings - not easy to rectify in the pitch dark. Eventually though I managed to get something to work so I have something to post. I promise to do better next time!
Thanks Jackie - the raw file as it came out of the camera was pretty much a black rectangle with a few bright spots and the odd hint of colour - LR to the rescue!
Wow -- I agree with JackieR. This is fantastic - even if that means your use of LR to get it to where it should be. I rarely don't use LR to get to a final one!
