Hamlets

The area where we live is a series of spaced out hamlets of anything from one to half-a-dozen cottages.... the map sign-post indicates where they are.

Just to the right of this sign-post (yes, it's a bit wonky) is the school-bus pick-up point for all of the hamlets noted on the sign. Most students can walk to the bus-stop from home in a few minutes but the farther away ones cycle there and chain-up their bicycles to ensure they are still there for the homeward journey!

Yes, yes - it's BoB.
I hope these hamlets and cottages, if they are abandoned, could be recovered to not forget the past history

I don't think I've ever seen a sign post with so many names on it.

@jeneurell This is a typical French sign in rural areas... but we don't understand them either!

I like the storytelling in this...the cyclists and some kind of journey.

A nicely composed shot with the bikes below the sign.

This is a wonderful lesson in your area hamlets.

I would love to come and talk a walk in your area among those camlets. You have to have at least 3 photo books of stuff there to shoot.

How interesting to see the area. I can't seem to compare it to a map I've found of the area, perhaps because it's a smaller area than I think.

I am sure these are very picturesque cottages too.

@randystreat Paimpont is the village itself plus five ‘sub-urban villages’, this is part of La Ville Danet and the area on the sign-board will be about a 1.5km square so a square mile and about 3km north of the village centre.

Hello Get Pushed partner! This week your challenge is the create a picture where the main subject of your image is in one of the corners of the picture.

A very interesting shot. The same thing happens here at railway stations. I passed it by indifferently, but now I think I'll shoot it too.

@stephomy OK - I'm up for that.

@vignouse Thank you. I'm not a stalker, I just like to know where in the world things are.
