Today dawned frosty and very misty and the only thing that really changed before nightfall was that the temperature crept slightly above freezing in the middle of the day before falling back down again.
This lone chestnut tree and the utility poles along the main road are the only things that could be seen from our bedroom window looking south-west at mid-afternoon. We both had chores to do in the morning - I spent the morning in the Abbey doing a test of all the lighting and electrical circuits (colder in there than outside!) - but neither of us moved far this afternoon.
