One of the regular duties (I won't say chores) in our household is to walk Mitzi several times a day. When it's dark, our moggie Chania will often accompany us, just tagging along behind. She's not so keen on crossing the main road in the day-time though so she tends to just sit and wait for the walkers' return. I liked the way this afternoon she sat in the lane right on the shadow line of the power-pole which delivers our electricity, as if it were some sort of demarcation line between go and no-go territory.
