A Year of Days: Day 129 - This little piece of oak bark...
... turned a good bottle of wine into something drinkable, but unremarkable. Mrs S bought a bottle of Rasteau, our favourite Côte de Rhone, as a treat but when I came to uncork it, the dry cork crumbled and broke. Bad storage or a sub-standard cork? Who knows... but a pleasure that failed to live up to its anticipation.
