A Year of Days: Day 229 - Timeless Scene

This is classic: a family on a beach with a young child, water, stones to throw. I've chosen to reflect its timeless nature by processing in B&W, as it could have been taken at any-time since the birth of photography... except for one little thing that is jarringly modern!
Would we, could we survive without them?

The stroller? Nicely done!

Jan doesn't see the phone. LOL See we don't see them anymore. How sad is that.

@janiskay Think again... or ask sis!

@vignouse I had to zoom in with my iPad-mini to see the phone which blends in with the water. But the stroller stands out more. And is probably as new if not newer then the phone. Definitely not the stroller I used for my children or the stroller my mother used for us.

@janiskay You're right of course... but it's not as hi-tech as some that you see - some of them look like a contraption straight out of a SF movie!

@vignouse no perhaps not as high tech. I guess I don't get out enough amoung the younger set as I seem to have missed the SF movie contraptions. I will have to keep my eyes peeled for one.

Classic indeed Richard! As for the thing she is holding, I see many parents ignoring their children because they are preoccupied with that gadget. Maybe a project for the social record is calling?
