I had a ride out on the motorbike today and scratched an old itch. We have often travelled on the express-way which crosses this valley on a high viaduct and said, we really must visit 'down-there' one day. What you mainly see from the viaduct is the pleasure port of St. Brieuc full of expensive yachts maintained afloat in a yacht basin protected by lock gates. I went further out to the end of the estuary today and enjoyed the old fishing port much more. It is part of Plérin but the area is known as 'Sous La Tour' - Under the Tower' because high on the hill above the outer estuary is a medieval tower which once protected the port. No lock gates to keep the water in here as you can see: the lighthouse which is my main 365 shot for today can just be seen in the left distance.
@joansmor We will go back because I would like to capture some shots at high-tide, visit the medieval tower and - despite the modernity - there are some pics to be had in the pleasure port, especially with the imposing viaduct passing 50 metres abobe the boats... and we can park our RV down in the old port.
