A Year of Days: Day 239 - The Extraordinary Ordinary
This image was inspired by my musings whilst I was closing up Paimpont Abbey this evening and wondering what I could possibly find to post... see my commentary here: http://365project.org/vignouse/365/2015-08-27
So before I got back in the car to go home for dinner, I looked at the lake - I've looked at it thousands of times - it's a lake surrounded by trees. But tonight I really looked... and saw again it's simple and timeless beauty. I hope I never forget to look, thinking that I already know what is there to see.
There are those who think we are 'lucky' to be surrounded by such timeless beauty. I disagree. Rather we are blessed to have such serenity as backdrop to our daily lives and it's in our gift to appreciate it and share it. Just as you have done with this shot.
I live in an area has such distinct seasons that I realize how scenes change but I have learned from 365 how much light changes a scene. I love looking at the same picture taken at different times of the day and different seasons and different weather conditions.
