A Year of Days - Day 300: Southwold Beach

Today, together with my brother and sister-in-law, I visited the Suffolk coastal town of Southwold. This is one of the numerous groynes whose function is to break down wave action to minimise beach erosion.

Best viewed on black, I think...
They form a strong leading line into the scene.
