When their owners were children, these two raced each other every day... sometimes one ahead, sometimes the other. Now their owners have children of their own and they have been abandoned these many years in an old barn. Yet here in the dusty half-light, still they race, neck and neck... until rust them do part!
This is for my PLAY project - you can read more about it in my profile - where I'll be using a different prime lens for each month of the year: in January it's the Nikon 50mm f/1.4G on a full-frame camera (the D610 today).
Good quite short aperture focus. Enjoy your new each month a different prime lens. I'm sure you have the capacity to show us fantastics shots with this 1.4
Excellent. This has an almost abstract feel to it, most likely thanks to the shallow DOF and lines of light and angles. Creative vision, seeing the photo op here.
Definitely best on black, although one could say that about all of your shots. Many shots aren't strong enough to 'wear' black so, but your always are.
Superbly done, Richard.. fav and not only because of the subject! 50mm on full frame... cant beat it. If it's on a half frame should we still refer to it as a nifty fifty?
@yrhenwr Thank you David - praise from you is always a pleasure to receive. No, on a crop-sensor camera it's something else but it would be exceedingly curmudgeonly not to apply the epithet to a 35mmm on an APS-C sensor or a 25mm on a micro-4/3 camera I think.
