Today early hours of this morning my lovely mother-in-law passed away. She was 97 and spent the last 3 years in a nursing home. Sadly because of COVID we were unable to be with her, she had been poorly for a couple of weeks. She was a great lover and collector of teapots. She collected 100ās over the years and these she wanted to go to Lucy her granddaughter who is my step daughter. I have been the custodian of these pots for 3 years and Lucy is unaware that I have them. I know that there will be happy and sad tears when I give them to her. I feel that they are abstract in there own design so feel that I need to do very little to include them in my abstract month. I know that Pat would have laughed at the idea of me including these on 365.
That's very sad news to wake up to. To have collected these novelty teapots, your mother-in-law must have had a fun personality. I like how you've enhanced the center teapot radiating joy and contrasted with the shadows. A sad day for you...take care! š
Sorry for your loss and especially that you couldn't be with her. But what fun to collect teapots and what a brilliant idea to take and post this picture for her.
She collected very lovely teapots. Would love to see more of them.
