I have a clear memory of this. I was reluctant to have this photo taken and needed a lot of coaxing. Firstly I was not keen to be in a dress and secondly less keen on my doll.
I was very much a Tomboy and enjoyed climbing trees and playing sports with the boys.
Who would have guessed that you weren't keen for the photo? You look so happy and smiley. As for the doll, I had a similar one that frightened me. It was given as a gift and I had to accept it. I think it was the dark hair and eyes that I didn't she and reminded me of a doll called Hamble on the kids programme Play School.
Funny how that was the pose of the times. I have one, minus a doll, but where I'm sitting with my feet stuck straight out in front of me. Someone must have promised you ice cream to coax that lovely smile out of you.
