What a faff! by wakelys

What a faff!

For my get pushed I was challenged to find a tool on any one of my cameras that I have never used before. Although I had tried selective colour in camera before I wondered why I have not used it since.
Well I can tell you now it is such a faff and so much easier by editing later in LR or Snapseed.
I have done a before and after trying to pick out the yellow!!!
@randystreat thank you for the challenge. Not quite what you asked for but still tried something that I don’t usually use.

How fascinating that your camera does it for you, albeit not as efficiently. Thanks for showing the before and after so we could compare so easily.

Great learning shot for us all!

Sounds like you need one admirably to the challenge - and also that you may be reverting to your tried, tested and easier ways of achieving a similar effect!!

@grammyn did you see Alabama hanging in there?

Interesting to see the in-camera result.

@wakelys I missed it the first time, but now I see it

Sounds like you might avoid it unless necessary in future! But well done

Sometimes there are reasons why we don’t do/use things! This is obviously one of those things.

That's all a bit of a shame for you. I find my camera does the other colours pretty well - but the yellow has to be very distinct to work at all.. :)

Thanks for the comparison shots, I’ve never tried it in camera before, maybe I’ll give it a go.

Well done. great effort. I love Snapseed

Well done, and challenge met. I agree with you. But sometimes I think the colors must be quite vivid in order for the in camera tool to work.

Interesting to see what cameras can do these days
