Sparrow in the Pohutakawas

I was actually trying to capture the wax eyes, but they flew off before I could focus. Had to be content with this common sparrow instead

Oh, and I've just realised, that this is my year plus one day photo. I made it!

Congratulations on your achievement. I liked this pic. It made me think of the contrast between the commmon-as-muck sparrow and the exotic plant. Also, my cousin lives in Pohutakawa Road in Rotorua, and now I know what a pohutakawa is - mystery solved!
