Plum by yorkshirekiwi

Plum

Who would have thought that Indigo was such a hard colour to isolate? Best I can do.
For March Rainbow month
Actually it is just a plum colour - all on its own! Looks delicious!

Is that a local plum It's very early for them in this hemisphere, I think. As to Indigo, I thing you're right. It's hard to think of anything to photograph, save some fabric or a crayon or pencil that might be the exact right color. In any event, you have made this plum lover both hungry and sad, because it has been too warm in the winters here for the last two years for the tree in my yard to flower or set fruit. Now, we'll have to wait till next year. Nicely rendered photo.

@mbrutus yes, it's a local one. Although not as local as they used to be. When we first lived here, we were surrounded by fruit orchards and vineyards. Unfortunately "progress" has seen them turned into housing developments. I have planted 2 plum trees, but were destroyed by my alpacas

@yorkshirekiwi Yes. I forgot you're in New Zealand. The Yorkshire reference threw me temporarily. So you are in the Southern Hemisphere. As to your alpacas, I trade you for the wild deer around here. They've already eaten some of my bushes and I'm weeks away from my first flowers. But it's been raining so any spray detterent would just wash off.
