Harlequin ladybird v bee

Out looking for flowers to shoot for our camera club theme. Quite difficult now the frosts have arrived. Got side tracked by the insects on the red hot pokers. The ladybird is an invasive species, which we seem to have been inundated with recently.

This is a lovely yellow red hot poker! Love the detail in the stamens. The ladybird and the bee are pretty cool too.
