This was actually taken two mornings ago, but I have nothing else for today. The 13th of July marks 29 years since I lost my dad to a brain tumour. He was only 50, younger than I am now. He never saw me get married, or emigrate to NZ. I look at this picture of our view, and know he would have just loved to visit us here. Makes me feel very sad.
I bet your Dad is keeping a close eye on you and can see this gorgeous scene as well. Anniversaries of loved ones never gets easier.........we must never forget them xx
Absolutely stunning and a lovely tribute to your Dad. My Dad died when I was only three years old so I do know how you feel about your Dad missing out on events in your life. I am sure he will be with you in spirit. fav
That is a beautiful photo. It doesn't matter how many years go by, you never forget. I lost my mum at age 50 as well from breast cancer. It was 40 years ago. I still miss her a lot.
