A day of two halves. It was still raining this morning, so we crossed the road and went to Te Papa to see Peter Jackson's Gallipoli Exhibition. The models made at Weta Workshops are amazing. They are 2.4x bigger than a human. Very, very moving and yes, I cried. Taken with my new wide angled lens. Very pleased with this shot, as the ISO was bumped up really high, as no flash photography allowed. It was almost pitch black with the light just over the model
Nice angle and composition, and for 6400 ISO this is impressive, not much noise at all. I love my wide angle lens too - one of their traits is that they have a greater dof, so I think you could have opened up your aperture to get the ISO down if necessary.
@laroque thanks Tim, great feedback. Have just looked at my aperture setting, and I hadn't realised how small my aperture setting was. We were kind of thrust into the queue of people, and wham this is what you get. Would love to go back on a quiet day
