Had to go for a hearing test today. Old age is catching up with me! Stopped for a short walk afterwards. This is where the Maramarua River crossed under the state highway and joins the Waikato river. I was surprised to see a lot of small fish near the surface, they and the swallows must have been catching flys. Meanwhile one lone shag was keeping an eye out.
@bkbinthecity I had my first test 6 months ago, when they first told me that I had hearing loss. I went into shock and denial. Finally accepted that maybe they're right. My test today, confirmed that although my volume hearing is fine, it's the soft th's and ff's that I can't hear. 90% is acceptable, I'm at 70%. I did score brownie points in that it only took me 6 months. Apparently the average is 7 years.. I don't want to be that person that nods and agrees, because they can't hear properly. Seeing the hearing aid lady next week.
I love the shag supervising everything!
Hearing aids are awesome too, our daughter has bilateral cochlear implants! And the technology etc just gets better every year. I'm glad to hear you're not delaying. Good on you. (preaching to myself 😉)
