This could have been awesome, but my lighting was all wrong, and I way overedited to compensate:
I got lazy and lost interest halfway through creating this one, and so I clumped glitter all over it so you couldn't see what a bad job I did on the outline of the hand:
And, of course, would any thread of this nature be complete without Chickendawg?
I'm a newbie and got lost in the themes and compositions when I thought shooting things from my kitchen, as an abstract and yellow could work in one photo. Have taken a step back since this one and gone back to shooting what I like that represents my life... or... this is the last kitchen gadget you will see in my collection as I really don't like to cook.
@grecican - It's my daughter taking a picture of her train set. She saw the picture on my computer and wanted me to try edits she thought looked cool. It was hilarious fun.
@jgoldrup I think the blessed license plate was crying out for a circle splash. @lolanae ahhh, ok, it's her hand - the scale of the train threw me off and I couldn't figure out what that was, lol!!
@pwallis - Yup...smarty pants figured out how to look at the pictures on the LCD on that camera, so she has to look at each picture after she takes it. I think I was laying on the floor taking pictures of the train. Well, she had to play too.
@bmnorthernlight isn't it? I should send a bouqet of flowers and an apology letter to my relatives for doing that to them and then posting it on the internet.
@grecican wicked thread! and that glow in the dark green landscape of yours is just brilliant! It could be very helpful, people could find their way home in the dark safely...
@shutterbugger
You know my feelings about the chicken seen down the tube, but the flowers in the circular frame, that's some Victorian lovely right there.
@jasehoad I am going to need some kind of corroborating evidence that you shot this photo because I do not believe it. It has pretty and color and flowers all in ONE SHOT.
@swguevin Okay, I don't know if you want to hear this, but I'm gonna point it out anyway. The two faint lines in the background of this made me think that it was a picture of someone's bum. This thing appears to be coming out of that. I did not want to know why, nor why you took THAT kind of picture. I was relieved to hear it was a kitchen gadget. Thank you. That is all.
I overprocessed these fairly early on in my project. The first two are of people who are special to me and I wanted to include them in my project, but at the same time respected that they may not want to be here! The third shot is pretty selfexplanatory!
@paulaag oh i love this one, sure it's overdone but it's made me have a right good chuckle tonight...heehee touched my funny bone and don;t even know why really!
@beautifulthing a whisk, a mirror, and way too much paintshop, but absolutely no bums were involved in the making of this photo. but that does finalize the decision of no more crazy abstract contests with kitchen tools!!
Okay, so we can only hate our own photos right. Trying to not get picked on by anyone but myself.
Retro Camera Phone App - all I can say was this was early in my project
Why one should not drink and photograph, let a lone edit. Dark bars, neon red drinks and a huricane drinking fest just scream NO
This is pure and utter crap! The worst part is that it's not that long ago! I had my exposure all wrong, no focal point, etc. (well the list just goes on and on on this one) Then to make matters worse, I thought giving the shot an 'HDR" look would make it better. Ha! Fail.
I have plenty of vomit inducing edits but I'll try and stick to just a few.
This one was just a crappy photo day so I tried to make the ugly clover look better, I failed.
HUGE fail on this one, it didn't turn out how I wanted so in an attempt to save it I turned it into a pathetic cartoon.
@veekay ahahhahahaa not holding any of this against you.... are you kidding?!! man, i have no place to judge. but it's great that you've come up with all of this.
this thread reminds me of art class when we were all in elementary school. love it!
Recent... for the yellow theme... as if that's an excuse! :) Bad photo so I decided to ETSOO and enter it in the week's yellow theme... The only thing you can say about this is "It IS yellow!"
Again, recent enough to be embarrassing:
In my defense on this one, I was totally trying to over-edit... Mission accomplished! :)
i have some that are even worse; but this is one I still find particularly mortifying; i hate it when the internal alarms don't go off until after it's been posted:
@grecican I love that second shot of yours...skelelon papoose...haha! It is great. Seriously. Here is mine...I wanted to document putting together a shelf that was wood with that greenish glass for shelves....and do it in a unique way. this is unique alright! Haha Horrible
Well I'm going to make excuses now. I see so much snow & can only take so many snow shots and then I look at some of the warm shots other 365 ppl do I get a bit jealous. so I thought I had to find a way to make it look more colorful
I absolutely loath this pic. I have no idea why I kept editing it...I guess I was trying to make it look amazing but it ended up just looking less like the dog's doodahs and more like a dog's dinner!
This one is pretty overdone, but I still like it. :P
Some pictures from my old project, that I do not like as much anymore:
This one is just boring...
Nothing to say about this. °-°
Hahaha, oh god, I remember this... xD
And last but not least, this one... What was I thinking...? :P
@5unflow3r sweet Jesus. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, you go and blow us all away with this.....this.....this......I don't even know wtf to call that.
I had literally just posted today's photo and thought "You've really over-edited this one, should've left it alone" when I saw this topic..........perfect!
@tamalita thanks for enjoying... i really have to and it's made me realize how much fun bad photos can be. glad none of us are taking are shit too seriously here. good times!! :)
...I almost just spit out my dinner reading thru the comments. Don't read & eat people! @cfitzgerald That is awesome haha!! I'm afraid to look at mine now lol.
This was just a hum-drum pic that I opened in Photoshop and started tinkering with filters. The guitarist loved it and asked for a copy so he could print and frame for his house.
Well processing isn't the enemy you just need to know when to stop, all photographs ultimately has been processed and thats where the art comes in, however your examples are brilliant, that falls in the category of to much?
Finals revision clearly did not do my overediting filter any good! I'm hoping that I won't quite go back to being this bad, but I've never improved a huge amount!
I was at the velodrome in San Diego and was taking pics of this woman training behind a motor. Drafting is a common method of training to get one's speed up. Less wind to break by the cyclist.
Anyway, the original pic is ok, but I was messing around with various software settings and this was the result. I like it, but I imagine it isn't for everyone.
@grecican It's a memorial to the 'victims of communism', in Prague. Not sure whether it's more or less creepy in real life than my terrible processing makes it!

@pwallis lmfao at that car pic, Paula... nearly forgot bout that one!
The day I got lightroom (obviously)
I have no idea. Fake HDR?
Yes, high-key overexposure of a wheatfield...works every time.
Would you believe this is milk + food coloring...LOL
@lolanae what the hell is that first one?? crazy!
@shutterbugger I know!! What the fak was I thinking?! Why didn't anyone stop me?
And was a circle splash really justified here...?
@lolanae ahhh, ok, it's her hand - the scale of the train threw me off and I couldn't figure out what that was, lol!!
erm the glitter doesn't help the hand, did you cut that out with your teeth? Maybe the 'teeth' tool on photoshop!
@bmnorthernlight holy crap! My eyes!
@bmnorthernlight oh snap!
@pwallis good point!
Really???
I used teeth tool on this one - @beautifulthing @grecican
which me as a soldier, or Manchester as a comic book illustration. And its four pics sewed together on hugin. uggghhhh sick.
@chewyteeth the comic book Manchester one! :)
You know my feelings about the chicken seen down the tube, but the flowers in the circular frame, that's some Victorian lovely right there.
Just after getting paintshop, far too much guassian filter
Aghh! Dead hand!
Go ahead and mock :)

This is what happens when you upload late and have the editing skillz of a 3rd grader:
This one was just a crappy photo day so I tried to make the ugly clover look better, I failed.
HUGE fail on this one, it didn't turn out how I wanted so in an attempt to save it I turned it into a pathetic cartoon.
And lastly, a bad photo for a good cause.

I'm a total newbie at editing, but there is this one! :-)
And I didn't actually post this one (I have now, to post it one here, but I'm going straight back to delete it!) but it IS really dire! :-)
This is just the most awesome thread! I haven't laughed so much in, I don't know how long! :-)
Although this one's not HDR and its a little over the top... most of the colour is actually due to an incorrect white balance setting
So badly cut out, and the kitten's 'arms" should be longer to reach the steering wheel.
And finally, my latest puke fest (cause of the editing, obviously not the subject!)
It's okay but still...
My girl is SITTING on the tree... :)
gasoline spill - bright colours to begin with but then I boosted the colour a little more...
@tford wow ... I think your right!
..but yeah, I produced something fairly hideous recently:
Anyway, the original pic is ok, but I was messing around with various software settings and this was the result. I like it, but I imagine it isn't for everyone.
Though I must say that Sophie followed my directions really well and her part came out how I pictured it.
