It has to be this one for me this week - I was in the right place at the right time, two minutes later, the sun had dipped behind the hill and the light gone.
I've posted the thread a bit earlier in the day than usual, as I'm at the computer now and may not be later!
I don't usually photograph people, but I couldn't resist this determined little peanut. She was engaged in a staring contest with a friend of her mother's. The fierce desire to win the contest started was sabotaged each time by a fit of giggles, but she was not going to give up. So cute!
This one because it captures a moment, though it is from a reenactment...a beautiful, poignant, heartbreaking moment. Can't imagine how hard it would be to be left alone with a spouse off at war, especially in a time when life was much harder. Sheesh, no smartphones, no 365... dark ages;-)
