Got a call that a photo of mine on a year-long exhibit sold today! I almost forgot it happened until a couple of hours ago--must have put it in the "it can't be true" category and went about my day. (Or I am showing signs of aging? nah!!). Anyway, thought I'd share with my lovely 365 friends that after 2.5 years, I've sold a photograph that was chosen as part of Atlanta Celebrates Photography 2014 Festival. And it really is because of the wonderful support here that I even started submitting work for Juried Shows. Woohoo!
Daryl, that's fabulous! I know how exciting that is...Ken got a call from the Lunenburg Art Gallery that my fist photo sold also...as I was in the hospital bed! It certainly brightened my day, so I totally know how good you're feeling as well! Congratulations! And you're so right that it might never have happened without the lift we got from our encouraging friends on 365!
Congratulations Daryl I know exactly how you are feeling - someone has actually put their money where their mouth is!! It's very easy for friends and family to say wow that's fabulous but when someone wants to pay for your work - fantastic!! Please let us see which photo it is.
Wow, thanks so much everyone. The photo was of a rooster of all things! The theme was "rural Ga" for the show and I took a photo of a rooster strutting in the grass. I thought it might make a great framed shot for a lake or country themed home. :) Got check today!
