As many of you know, we have had a monthly word challenge for the past couple of months and this has proved to be very creative and inspiring. Thank you to everyone who has taken part and commented on these photos, it is great to see so many of you joining in. To highlight how this has grown; In September we had 10 pages of photos that were tagged September-List and in October we have just started our 24th page of October-List tagged shots, with ten days to go…
The word lists for Sept & Oct were from White Peach Blog and while I would like to thank her for that, I have found some of the words very obscure. So why don’t we make our own list???
So here is my is my challenge for next month (if you fancy it)
It could not be easier…
Simply Nominate your word to this forum post and it may be included. You can Nominate as many words as you like and if you see a word you like, just add it again... (the more time a word is mentioned, the more chance it will be used).
I will then count up the number of times that a word has been added and the top 30 will be our list for November
Please Nominate your November word between now (21st) and the end of next Sunday (28th) for them to be included.
If you have a word that you would like to see on a particular day, please Nominate which day in November, you would like to see it. For example: ‘Remember’ on the 11th Nov as this is Remembrance Day or ‘Bonfire’ for the 5th?

For Nov 6th, I nominate "patriot/patriotism". The 6th is election day here in the states but I didn't want to specifically use election as the word due to the international nature of the board.
For the 11th, I agree with remember or something to that effect.
And on the 22nd, let's go with Thanks. It's Thanksgiving here in the states, but I imagine we all have something we can be thankful for.

And November is known as Movember! When men grow mustaches to bring awareness to men's health issues, particularly prostate cancer. So I nominate Nov 30 for Mustache (or Nov 1, but it might be more fun to see what's been grown!)

When I joined 365 I decided I would base each image off a certain word I wish more people would use. I think I'll nominated my favorite words used so far. I'd be crazy happy to see some other interpretations, if anyone is interested.
Dulcet - sweet to the palate or ear
Cynosure - focal point of admiration
Reify - to regard something abstract as something concrete
Myopia - nearsightedness, or a lack of imagination
Scintilla - trace or spark of a quality/feeling
Dissemble - to conceal under a false appearance
Gossamer - light, delicate, or insubstantial
Don't know about Guy Fawkes or Bonfire as we don't have Guy Fawkes here - we have Halloween instead (although maybe I can have photo of fireworks from Halloween and manipulate them for Guy Fawkes night).
well, I stopped by to see if I could offer any words but there are so many here, what I had thought of has been said and it looks like there is plenty to go at and I've learned something too... hadn't heard of gangnam until now... I don't feel I've missed out!

haha, never thought of it that way! I had than on a photo list a while ago and I liked it! I was thinking more along the lines of fungi, frosts, mists, falling leaves...but you could interpret it the other way if you choose!
Just remembered that 1st & 2nd November are All Saints and All Souls Day so maybe Church, Prayer or Graveyard for either of those days.

I will stop the list on Sunday evening with the words STOP IT! and will them try and work out how many times each word has been mentioned.
I think the feeling is that we should have some key Nov dates fixed and then use the most popular words to fill the gaps.

@gphelps5 retailers call the day after Thanksgiving "Black Friday". Its typically when they make so many sales that they go from being in the red to being in the black. Its the most insane day to go into a retail store in the USA

@gphelps5 For me 3pm is just a random time - I saw someone else say it and thought yes that is as good a time as any. Also 2 days a week I won't be able to use the suggested words as I do a couple of other weekly challenges.

Suggestion- rather than assign specific words for the remaining dates can you just give us the list to choose from and we fill them in? I can't really do moonshots with my little camera, and birthday may also pose a problem, so a wildcard/substitute list might be advantageous too. Just a suggestion. I will do my best to rise to the challenge no matter what the words are.

This sounds like a really cool challenge. You have taken on quite a job, I hope to be able to support you! I do agree with Ann (@olivetreeann) with regards wildcard words, say 3 to 5 that could be substituted. Just incase something happens like being overcast on the day for a moon shot!
