So, here are my choices for the street-21 finalists - nice work guys. It's tough choosing but a pleasure to see so many varied entries and different styles.
I have picked some pictures that for me carried a moment with a story, twist of humour, which got close to the subjects - shots which make us aware of the people and where the actual surrounding street adds to the image but is less the central feature.
Saying that, I'm sure you might have picked differently and with excellent reason, but having narrowed it down for you, now's your chance to have the final say :o)
#1 - I loved this compelling photo when I first saw it and was so happy to see it being entered into the contest so that more people may see it and enjoy it too!
While I really like street to preserve color if appropriate, I have to vote for 3, the three men are connected nicely, nothing is chopped off from their anatomy and the background is interesting. 2 is a close second, if only the front lady's feet weren't cut off, it would be my number 1.
@frankhymus i also wondered how having her feet would alter the image , but like the way her row of bags provide a pleasing frame and link with the other bags and the pattern on those central shoes
