Oh dear this is so difficult! Getting pushed really puts the photographer in a spot to achieve what the challenger set, and then it's down to someone to select who they think got pushed the best, so you can vote on the best of their selection!
I have tried to explain how I came to choose my shortlist of five photographers from the ten who entered. I'm sorry I couldn't short list you all!!
It might help you to choose if you read the narratives in the photos which give more detail about the challenges the photographer faced
To vote type in the number of the photograph you think best depicts a get-pushed-challenge best achieved!
1/ Mary @mcsiegle Asked to photograph nature from an unusual point of view. I liked that dynamic diagonal and the focus on what was vibrant and healthy.
2/ Annie @annied Challenged to take an action shot. I was attracted by the negative space she gave that gushing water and the unusual point of view with a bit of a lovely abstract twist.
3/ Delwyn @dkbarnett Asked to compose a flat lay and was inspired by the work of Julieanne Kost. I love the care taken to tell story and minimalism of this composition
4/ Sue @suez1e took an item from her kitchen to photograph and present in an unusual way. With her clever processing of a minimal composition, I really thought this was a charcoal drawing!
5/ Sally @salza was challenged to make the sky the star of her photograph, I was drawn to the way she used a portrait composition to show a landscape dominated by blue sky and layers of clouds
Voting will close on Thursday evening (UK time - and we're an hour behind (or ahead it's so confusing!) most of you at the moment!!)
