Time for an Act of Kindness...............................

.................................... to insects!

Louise does these little pools of water and beads for garden insects. She recently posted a photo of a large one she's made. https://365project.org/roachling/365/2018-06-25 . This has inspired me to do a couple.

SUE! These terracotta saucers are from your wedding table decorations!
How clever Jackie, hope they all appreciate it ;-)

@ludwigsdiana must keep it topped up

That looks perfect. I still need a few larger stones in mine. It needs topping up everyday at the moment but I've seen a few creatures stopping for a drink here :)

By the way, as you seem keen on bees - you can do these with sugar water as well to help the bees when they need it. I'm sure you'll have seen info around about reviving tired bees with a drop of sugar water? You can just make a larger amount of sugar water and keep a small container of that with a few pebbles in to land on.

I tried this a few years ago with sugar water, in the hope that butterflies would find it. Sadly they didn't.
