Stationary Photographer Capturing the Fast Waves

Northy challenged me to get some Intentional Motion Blur due to camera movement or subject moving.

I'm not a lover of the milky water effect, but for a challenge, and to learn a new technique using ND filters, it was fun to try.

This lady and I started our nurse training 46 years ago today.
@northy another go at IMB, Not sure it works but I was trying for the starkness of the sillhouette and the slight milkiness of the wave.

Crickey! You have been friends for a very long time! Done so well you can’t even tell it’s a composite

This is quite striking and incredibly seamless. Old friends are the best friends!

How lovely to have been friends for so long and that you enjoy photography together. The sea has a very nice softness to it.

An here I had her sitting on the beach gazing out the sea wall to the breakers. Would she not stand still long enough for you to get the effect of the ocean that you wanted?
