My first solo trip in the kayak; 5.2km to the pub for hot chocolate and back again.
Outward bound trip against a westerly breeze with bumpy wavelets and it was raining and chilly. Return trip similar conditions, minus the rain, so wind helped push me along, so much more fun!
Girl! You are crazy! I cannot imagine going out in this kind of weather on a kayak! Even with the promise of hot chocolate at the end! Nice shot of the kayaks though.
@serendypyty Hot soup and cuppa and then out into the rain to rince it down! @koalagardens didn't feel like a slog @wakelys there is, I ache all over (esp wrists!!) @ljmanning I'd like to take credit but ths was a quick snap with view to edit if needs be! As it is all I did was a teensy crop @grammyn it was fun, but think easier and faster with two?! @quietpurplehaze not once did I feel unsafe (but was with others and wearing appropriate gear!) @tinley23 its a pretty harbour @monikozi need to be alcohol free as back in car to go home! @salza it warmed the cockles and hands!!
@30pics4jackiesdiamond you might be right as long as the two paddlers are synchronized but my husband says thatās the quickest way to a divorce when A husband and wife are trying to share a two person kayak
I love the composition of this photo, with the snaking shoreline and distant birds.
