Went looking for a golden triangle composition and the kingfishers but found a sabine's gull with a couple of dozen photographers all with huge lenses excitedly pointing at it.
Poor thing was being mobbed by the local gulls as it's not supposed to be in southern england!!
Has it taken up residence or is it just passing through? How did all those photographers know to be there? I love the collage that shows the bird and the commotion it has caused
Good bird shots and in flight too. The collage is well put together and shows the difference in those two birds.I guess all the birders were excited. Lots of them there.
@grammyn probably blown in on the Atlantic storms ( the guy i was talking to said,)
@carole_sandford they tweet each other @mirroroflife nope, I was walking away and it flew near me!! @ljmanning and more rushed in, but they had to keep distance as bery wet and muddy
@wakelys it's a tern with a black head, black wing tips and forked tail. Most unassuming bird, not as exciting as our kingfishers
@amyk there were more running through the mud
@wendyfrost thank you
@anniesue so shove off!?
@boxplayer not bad for my 300mm lens eh?
@pcoulson very kind, thank you
