Sharing a Meal

There is a city bylaw, yet to be voted on, which will prohibit feeding pigeons. In the meantime, I do like how this guy communes with (and feeds) the pigeons. I see him most days, and in these topsy-turvy times, he creates a nice placid scene.

@ninaganci Primarily because there are so many of them and they create a mess and unhealthy conditions, damage property, and indirectly attract rats (because of food scraps). This isn't me speaking, though. This is the city councillor who has proposed the bylaw. And yes, I agree with you, Nina: it's beautiful to feed birds.

He does! A very good documentary picture, with quite a story in it. Btw, somebody had a great idea with those fungi-shaped stools :) My dad (82) has been feeding local pidgeons for years, along with cats and hedgehogs :)

I love feeding wildlife…squirrels, birds, fish, horses, cats, deer…all animals. I can understand that pigeons & seagulls can become a nuisance. But still hard to resist!

I understand all the arguments about not feeding pigeons (and gulls are a serious problem here) but this old guy iooks so content.
