Cloudy horizon

Comet Pan-STARRS is supposed to be visible after sunset, but the horizon has been covered in a layer of clouds the last two nights. It is disappointing to look forward to celestial events only to be frustrated by atmospheric interference. Maybe tomorrow....
I tried too but where I am it was only visible right at sunset, just as the sun disappeared and the moon showed.

@fullcircle I believe it is higher in the sky after dark the rest of the week. Of course, having older eyes doesn't help with spotting it either. I have been counting on the camera to make it visible for me.

Love this shot! I too have been looking for the comet but the best I have seen so far is a bit of a smudge that doesn't really look any better using binoculars so it might just be on my specs!

Beautiful contrast between the remains of the sunset and the moon.

I missed it too. Forgot about it Tuesday, tried on Wednesday, and failed. I love the layers in this shot, though. Love the way the clouds look!
