Ying and Yang

Oh my, this hand photography is difficult! I do believe hands are as revealing as faces, and every bit as difficult for me to pose. Obviously another challenge I need to work on. Decided to try holding something, so I went in search of objects. This is one of a pair of cloisonne relaxation balls that were my sister's. The have chimes inside which play gently as you roll the balls in your palm.

My alternate shot is a handcast done fifteen years ago of youngest's hand. I do love little hands.

Beautiful shot, it seems so tranquil. I love how the ring finger is just slightly over lapping the middle finger, great composition.

Nice choice of dof and focus.

A great hand shot and nice perspective. The ball also adds interest. I agree though that photographing hands are difficult and revealing - I had to use the 'soften' editing tool on mine!

Gorgeous shot. The focus is spot on and the B&W processing really suits it.
