This was the greatest challenge for me, and perhaps my breakthrough in recognizing the appeal of landscape photography. Dream Lake is above Nymph Lake, and after my venture there I had extreme doubts as to my ability to reach this lake. It was too beautiful to pass up though, so I bought a walking stick, lightened my load, and decided to give it a try. With the encouragement and helping hand of the other photographers I made it! There we trudged through snow and across slippery rocks to find the lake overflowing and covered in ripples from the wind. However, this pond had formed just under the lake. So, once again with the helping hand of a fellow photographer I made it across the slippery rocks and snow to a spot with calm reflections. I was so excited to see the colors and reflections as the sun rose. I am not a patient photographer, nor do I often actually plan my shot and travel in anticipation of what might be. However, in the brief moments of this sunrise I found that maybe there is a hint of landscape photographer in me.
