After making several trips past the den on my way to and from the office the pups finally came out. With green grass just a few feet away from their door they ventured further afield and closer to me. I stayed in the pickup, with the engine off, and spent about thirty or forty minutes just watching as their mom came and went bringing tidbits and checking to make sure I wasn't a threat to her family.
