A friend asked if I could come do a photoshoot with her horses. She said they would be in an Aspen grove, and we would try an evening Golden Hour time. I said "ok, I'll try" and then started googling and youtubing "horse photography." I've learned "mouth closed, no whites in the eyes and ears up" along with "tension." The tutorials also say to shoot in AI and use manual. Equestrian photographers seem to love that 70-200mm zoom lens. My DIL has that lens, so I'm going to borrow it. In the meantime I'm practising with my 70-300mm with our horses in the pens. I don't get much movement from them, and my backgrounds are less than attractive, but I don't generally shoot manual so I think practise is in order.
