Keeping the Garden Green

The school garden requires regular watering to keep it vibrant. We are lucky that an automated sprinkler system covers the main area. The beds and tubs are out of the range of the sprinklers so some of us volunteer to water them by hand. My day was supposed to be Tuesday which happened to be the day without power when no one was allowed on campus. My next turn is in July. In the meantime it would be nice to have a little rain but with afternoon temperatures in the triple digits, that doesn't seem too likely.
:) Awesome

It is a good thing we can still water the gardens. There are so many areas in drought conditions now.

With the temps above 100, I'm sure this is a refreshing sight.

As this heat begins to hanf around, it is going to get tough to keep everything fresh looking, especially if they start limiting the water use.

Oh, no - you're having the oppressive heat, too. I thought it was bad when it hit almost 90 today - very humid, too. Never good for the plants!

It's good to have a sprinkling system for part of the yard...and the volunteers to help out. Like you, I wish the rain would come.
