The Christmas season would not be complete without a day of shopping in Carytown, Richmond's quirky neighborhood of independent merchants. I love just walking down the street and people watching, but when I actually have shopping to do, it's even more fun. I bought ornaments from 10,000 Villages, a fair trade shop representing craftsmen from all over the world, and some items from Boaz and Ruth a local nonprofit that helps people get back on their feet. I also found some neat things for my daughter but since she checks my postings, it will have to remain a secret. This picture was taken on my ipod touch with the Hipstamatic app.
