A second grader was attempting to rescue and set free this spider scurrying across the front hall in our building when I happened by. "Wait," I implored. "Let me take a picture, then I'll help you save the spider." So he restrained himself. (Which is a good thing since he was attacking the spider with 2 paper towels and no clear rescue plan.) After I got my picture, I provided the little boy with a paper cup and he was able to shepherd the spider into the cup and ultimately out the door. I'm not sure that constitutes a true rescue since it will be cold and rainy all day tomorrow. However, it could be worse; Originally they were calling for an all-day snow.
