Meg, my-daughter-the-pastry-chef, is starting her own business! She has her business license, her kitchen inspection and her logo. She sent me a sample of two of her recipes. Too bad I can't show you those but they have all been eaten! The first was chocolate-covered walnut toffee which I had to bring to school, or I would have expanded exponentially. I put a plate of pieces in the Teachers Room, and needless to say it was gone in no time. The other treat was Brown Butter Salted Sugar Cookies. Just the right combination of salty and sweet with the rich but nutty taste of browned butter. John and I polished those off. I predict a bright future for Meg's business.
