I realize this shot has been done so many times it has become a cliche. But it is such a sign of summer, I couldn't resist. And what makes it better is the name of the flower on which he sups -- bee balm!
Even though it's been captured many times, it's still a great shot to look at. I always think of the bumble bee poem which proclaims that according to scientific laws, bumble bees should not be able to fly, but they do so anyway. So every bumble bee shot for me is a testimony to overcoming the odds! This one is no exception.
