The National Geographic map arrived this week! This year the students will be walking all over South America (without shoes, as you can see). Last year they were in Europe and the year before, in Africa. It is a real hands-on (or should I say "feet-on" experience) with lots of activities provided to increase their knowledge of geography. Here you see some Second Graders finishing up their visit "South of the Border."
Precious little ones who look so cute and eager to learn. What a clever way to get children interested in learning about other countries worldwide. Geography was always my favorite subject way back when. Even now, I am fascinated by maps.
