The peonies in the school garden have taken a beating from several days of rain. I got out there at lunch time in between showers, and just stood there inhaling that wonderful fragrance. Ah peonies, I have missed you!
Peonies are beautiful we are still waiting for ours.
Re Leicester City. They are a one city club (some cities have 2 football clubs) in fact the only club in the county of Leicestershire so success brings the whole community together. Leicester is also a very diverse city with many ethnicities so it is wonderful to see everybody enjoying the moment a real sense of pride and togetherness.
On the football side they slipped into the third tier of football a few years back (a bit like Bolton just have) they had serious financial issues and almost went bust ( a bit like bolton). They have though got the backing of wealthy new owners from overseas (that is were the similarity to bolton ends ...we have no wealthy owners). .
The team has no superstars , just hard working professional footballers playing with pride and as a team and are managed by a true gentleman who treats everyone with respect . The success gives every football fan a chance to dream that their team can do the same. Well apart from my dreadful Bolton Wanderers ☺
