Greek Festival 2016

The 41st Annual Richmond Greek Festival at the Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral is held from Thursday, June 2nd through Sunday, June 5th and includes dancing, tours of the cathedral and of course all kinds of amazing Greek food. I am lucky enough to live within walking distance so I avoid the traffic jams and the parking problems and hoof it over on Saturday afternoon with my camera and my appetite.
The Greek community works all year preparing for this event, from the youngest kids to the most experienced chefs. Each day of the festival part of the proceeds go to a specific designated charity serving central Virginia. Today it was Neighborhood Housing Services of Richmond, Inc.
This looks fun. Bet the food was very delicious!!

Sounds wonderful! I like your collage, which gives a nice feeling for what the festival must be like.

Looks like you got close to get some wonderful pictures of the festivity. The three day Greek festival is always a great outing here for us too.

@bruni The Greeks sure know how to have fun, don't they? They make hard work a social activity and at the same time, help others.
