Trying Something New by allie912

Trying Something New

What does a classroom teacher do who loves books and wants to try something new? She goes back to school for a graduate degree in librarianship. Today as part of her program she spent a day behind the scenes observing and performing the nuts-and-bolts responsibilities of a school librarian. Here she is doing the most basic of essential duties, shelving books. Her assessment: It is not for the faint of heart or the weak of knees.
LOVE a librarian in training! Coming to Atlanta for MW or Chicago for annual ALA? Oh, and holding a book about Japan, well, it does't get much more appropriate for me.

@jyokota As a librarian from an independent school, I'm a member of AISL and I will be attending the annual conference this year in New Orleans in the Spring.

@allie912 -- I'll be in NOLA for Ezra Jack Keats Award Committee in early February -- but I guess that's not the right timing for "spring." Some day, our paths will cross in real life.
