Tomorrow is Homecoming at Collegiate so today we had the highlight of many kids' school lives -- Pep Rally. We all wore school colors, green and gold, but as you can see, the students competed to outdo each other. There was a contest for most spirited division (Middle School won this year) as well as prizes for the kids who had the most "spirited" outfits. There was the introduction of all the Fall athletic teams and the presentation of the Homecoming Court. This was followed by a crazy competition between the boys and girls of the court which ended in the girls winning.
Of course all the school spirit wasn't confined to Pep Rally. If you look closely at my collage, you can see a kindergarten class in the library, the Library Club volunteers and a host of Third and Fourth Graders in the library before school started. Although the schedule for Friday is a little bit shorter than the average school day, we teachers all agree, it seems awfully long!
