Today I enjoyed an afternoon with teachers, school counselors and librarians, both current and retired. The occasion was a meeting of the Gamma Mu chapter of the international society for women educators, Delta Kappa Gamma. This tea for prospective members was to introduce us to the educational programs and service opportunities for members. The women included a number of former colleagues. It was good to see them again and hear their enthusiasm for this organization. Being offered a chance to continue learning and teaching after retirement is a great opportunity.
