The Girls

A visit to Sarah’s parents in the country included an introduction to Frenchie, Henrietta and Julietta. Sarah’s mother always wanted to have chickens and now that she is retired, her husband built a hen house and these ladies came to stay. Larry said, “Veta’s bucket list is my to-do list.” I do love chickens and this trio was no exception.

I'm sure they get a nice assortment of eggs from "the girls". I would have chickens if our property was a little safer for things like that- but we have raccoons, foxes, cats, opossum and bobcats in the area- and a chicken coop (even fenced in) would not stop them from hunting down the eggs or the chickens! Good shot!
