See Amazon Reduce Packaging

Some of you know I am collecting school supplies for our church to donate for Richmond metro students. Today I received a backpack from Amazon. Note the size of the box, big enough for six backpacks. Although odd, I don’t think I would have commented if it weren’t for Amazon’s current campaign to reduce waste in packaging.

Yep. Their boxes are made with less material now so that they can use twice as many boxes! Q.E.D.! :)

Amazon packaging is absurd. Just today I got a large box where a medium envelope would have sufficed. Plus... Why do they use PLASTIC envelopes when they should be required to use more environmentally responsible packaging? They're not the only ones, but geez! Meanwhile, good on you for collecting such needed supplies--bravo!
