Owl

A sculpture by Susan North in the shop of the Harley Gallery at Welbeck Abbey. I would dearly love to buy this guy but unfortunately a bit out of my price range at £600.

This is horribly cute! (is that an association?) I love owls. This is a bit creepy, but lovely in its being one of a kind. I can't figure out what it is made of. At first I thought it was pieces of tree bark. But I think I am wrong.

@monikozi He is actually made of metal and is gorgeous, the photo does not do him justice and he has a little brother or sister! I have just uploaded a photo of both of them to my "Anything Goes" album.

Yeees! I've seen them. I'm amazed. They seem to have 'feathers' made of beads.

@monikozi Do you mean you have actually seen them as well as me? Did you see them at Welbeck's Harley Gallery? That is where they are now.

That's a shame, because they are much more impressive in real life. The smaller of the two is about half the price of the larger one so may have to raid the piggy bank!
