I bought this mug for Michael several Valentine's Days back. I am kicking myself for not getting the Mrs. version for me. I am gearing up for V-Day today. I just got off the phone with a Thai place that I've been dying to try and made a dinner reservation for tomorrow. And babysitting is secured for two nights in a row.
Last night I had a phone interview for a part time position that I have been wanting at the gym and I was pretty bumbling, weird and unprepared. I told Michael that I was like George W. Bush in a debate. The great thing about the job is that it would get me my membership free, the kids free and Michael's discounted, too. This alone would be really helpful financially and I would get a bit of income to help ease our tight budget. Heck, maybe it would even allow me to slowly save up for that new lens that I need to earn myself.
And now I have a face to face interview tomorrow (they called me back despite my weirdness:) that I need to think about and prepare for. I've been out of the workforce more or less since becoming a mother almost 8 years ago. My business attire is outdated and I have no idea what I will wear for the interview. Hopefully I can pull together something professional and maybe wear a sweat band or sneakers to prove that I am into fitness;-). My cousin even suggested that I do lunges rather than sit during the interview so that they can see just how fit and cool I am!
Haha yes I agree with the consin :) hehe I know you're gonna do great! Anyone would be crazy not to hire a wonderful fun loving gal like you! :) Good luck sweetie! I'll be praying for you! :) Let us know how it goes! Oh and I LOVE this mug! You're right... should've gotten the Mrs. one as well :)
Great shot! I love the shadow in this! And good luck at the interview. I'm sure you'll do great. I understand your nerves, though. I've been out 7 years...will try to score a part time gig in a few years. Almost 10 years is a long time to be out! But I think you'll do great at your interview and it sounds like a good position!
Just be yourself and don't worry about it. Easy to say, but I remember getting nervous about applying for a job as a bagger at the grocery store after having been out of the workforce for many years. It's all good.
This is perhaps one of my lamest shots this year, but it was appropriate for Valentine's Day and it did have a groovy shadow. Thanks for commenting despite it's lameness;-)...and thanks for the well wishes for the interview. It went great today. Hoping to hear back and hopefully score a second one next week. I pulled off apparel and will need to either wear a suit or buy something new to wear should I need to go back. Also thanks for enjoying the vision of me lunging during the interview. I chickened out!
@gailmmeek Aw, thanks, Gail for the link. I will have to order one! The interview went well...no lunges, though. I chickened out. Hope to hear back today or tomorrow for a 2nd. Thank you, lady!
I don't think this is a lame shot at all. I love the cup (hope you get the Mrs version) and the shadow is great.
I suppose I'll have to work my way through your album to see how the job stuff played out. I'm sure it had a happy ending. :-)
@pasadenarose Aw, thanks so much. Appreciate your kind words. I did not get the job as my availability was not what they needed. Hoping that a position with my availability opens up, though, and I will hear back from them!:)

PS - I saw these mugs the other day on dayspring.com and they caught my eye... maybe you can still get yourself the Mrs one? http://www.dayspring.com/mr_and_mrsmrs_mug_christian_mug/?green=4109C8F7-56CB-5971-07F1-34C828E0C37D
